MOP Monday - Xmas presents list

First of all, if you want to check my 2 entries for the Bloggers Quilt Festival you find them here:
  1. Mini (Radiant Orchid)
  2. Scrappy (Boxes of Rainbow)

Then I decided to change my weekly list because, let's face it, it's almost Xmas and I have a ton of presents to make and I need to focus on those and keep track of the progress :)

-- MOP: The Xmas presents list --

1. Boxes of Rainbow (UO) - you can check my finished quilt in the  Bloggers Quilt Festival post!!
2. Topolino quilt (MPB) - no progress
3. the Z quilt (CO) - third and last block done!!! (see below)
4. small pillow or table runner (VP) - not even decided what to do :(
5. convertible bag (IG) - fabric collected
6. coasters & table runner (MO) - not started
7. something (SZ) - I need to think about this :)

Extras (because if I have tons of projects to finish I need to add some extras anyway O_o):
1. the SK project - 1 block done (see below)
2. Make it Mosaic (on FiS) - pattern done, background grey fabric selected but need to decide about the rest

(Linking up at Let's Bee Social)

-- MOP: This week new blocks --

My last Chinese symbol block is done!!
And there were different versions for the same symbol but I took the one that looked more "easy" to sew. I hope is what I want it to be. If any of my readers know that symbol and if it means something else please do NOT tell me ;) unless it means a very bad word ;).

Shou (Longevity) (22''x22'')

Now I am ready to quilt this block (using a quilt-as-you-go technique) and I already have a plan for the rest of the layout! Let's hope it's not going to take too long to complete!!

--
And finally we have 1 new opening lines for my SK project.
This is the first book by SK that I've ever read, so here is where my obsession started ;)

  1. I was just looking at all of your patterns. Do you ever worry about copy write infringement or is that not necessary in this case? Just curious. I was always told to stay away from that stuff.

    1. Hi Patty,
You are a no-reply blogger so I cannot contact you directly.
But to answer your question, as long as the patterns are not for profit, there is a "fair use" clause in the copyright law so everything should be fine.
I share patterns following the same rules an in Fandom In Stitches (http://www.fandominstitches.com/)
"Fandom In Stitches and it's designers do not hold copyright on any of the fandom titles represented on this site. Respective Designers reserve copyright on patterns only and request that out of respect for the fandoms we love, that you use them for personal and non-profit reasons only. The Designers at Fandom In Stitches receive no payment for any of the patterns posted and expressly forbid resale. Patterns not to be used for distribution, resale or manufacture. Absolutely no infringement is intended."
As long as people do not sell the patterns or any other object done using the patterns, there should be no copyright infringement.

  5. How very Zen! I believe that is one way to draw "shou" so you're in the clear there. And the Steven King embroidery is great! You have some great projects going on!
