Especially batiks that I find run and run. I prewash them three times in hot water, to set the color and get rid of excess chemicals and dye. If people ever saw how they are made, they would also prewash them. To get a stain off after it's set in the dryer, you might have to try a Qtip with bleach or dawn detergent on the spot. I don't know... when I have a stain I try to cover it somehow. Paint, applique, cutting it out and repieceing. You can use color catchers outside the washing machine, but it needs movement to catch the color particles before the fabric does.<br />Love your lion. If the project is already made up, the stuff to use is Synthrapol (sp?) and Colour catchers. If you are prewashing fabric that is bleeding you need Retayne.
