The projects I worked on last couple of days are all connected to Fandom In Stitches and Sewhooked... thanks Jennifer for sharing amazing patterns with us and for organizing such fun events and challenges!!
So now let me share my Crafts of Halloween Past:
Well... Jennifer's original pattern for the bat was much bigger and thought as a door decoration... but I wanted to make it into a small quilt block because I want to put together many Halloween blocks and make a wall-hanging for next year :) So I simply scaled down the pattern and then applique them on a small square of background fabric.
Well, for me is a Rotary Cutter Puppet ;) but it is lovely I think!! I just added a couple of rounds in the original pattern to make it bigger...
Thanks to Jennifer I read "The Fault in Our Stars" and I really liked it... this is the block I designed...
It is one of my first applique blocks... I am not a big fan of satin stitches... they come out weird sometimes on my machine... but that's the only stitch I could use (my machine has very few stitches)... but still I like the overall look of the block... and you can find the pattern in my Free Pattern page... you can embroidery your favorite quote in the cloud... the one I choose is my favorite.
I am not sure if I will be able to publish my Disney pattern (that I was planning to publish tomorrow)... too many other projects with close deadlines... but I will do it as soon as I have time!
P.S. To each wonderful blogger I am following: please stop sharing so many amazing things!!! because of you right now I am involved in 2 swaps, 1 QAL, 2 contests, 1 secret quilt, 1 blog hop and I am also testing some patterns... on top of that I should finish a baby quilt, piecing my Alice/Duck Tales quilt, plus starting the Christmas presents... I am overwhelmed :) but when I see your fun things I cannot resist (note that one year ago I didn't even HAD a sewing machine... what a huge change ;))... so please stop tempting me!!! ;) I am joking... but no, seriously, you are all amazing!!!
Lol that made me laugh! It's so true! So much inspiration in blogland - makes it very hard to resist!!
