My plan to "End" the madness in my overflowing bags of scraps with Bonnie Hunter's Leader and Ender project (with tumblers) is in full swing!
And since RSC15 color for this month is red I choose to attack the Red and Pink bags first. And Purple and Light Green are ready to be assembled (I don't have enough Dark Green for now, but I will probably in few months).

The final block for my D wall hanging is done!
It's the house in the mountain that my family has, and it's the place where this wall hanging is going to be displayed :)

I cannot believe that I am back to this project... it has been in the UFO list for probably two years... that's why I put it on my Q3 list for the Finish-Along!
Patterns by Jennifer, Harry Potter's Alphabet
I started with the easiest blocks just to get my momentum going... lol :)

And last, but not least, I finished my Water Lilies
Water Lilies (68''x74'', with 2 colors scrappy binding)
Color inspiration: Water Lilies Red, Claude Monet, 1914
You can click on the image to zoom in. And of course you can see my little helper enjoying some well deserved treats after the long hours of piecing, quilting and binding ;)
Project for Q3 finish-along (full list of Q3 projects here)!

How about you? What are YOU up to?
I love the idea of combining different challenges. Your red and pink tumblers look fabulous! Beautiful finish! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteWhat varied and wonderful projects! Your Water Lilies turned out great and your Mountain house is sure to, as well. Have FUN with it!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have been productive this week! LOVE your cabin block. Can't wait to see the whole wall hanging and where it is hung. I have been sorting scraps. Most of my scraps are greens and blues. I need to just keep on keepin' on. Need to get my momentum going. I think I'll do that the way you did by starting with some of the easier blocks. Keep on going!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try the tumbler challenge to reduce the fabric in the stash box as it is over flowing. Your tumbler blocks look great.
ReplyDeleteI adore your Water Lillies quilt! (I love using an artist's work as inspiration.) Your shadings are gorgeous. And your paper pieced WIP is looking so cool.

You have been very productive this week! Congrats! Everything looks terrific!
ReplyDeleteHI there! I found your blog through the DOD Americana blog. Love your water lillies quilt - the colors are so nice and the shading worked terrificially.
ReplyDeleteHello, I found you through Quilt Art Designs' link up. I love the idea of a weekly progress report, and I will definitely be linking up again in the future! Your Water Lilies quilt is amazing. The gradation of the blues is spot on!
ReplyDeleteThe water lilies quilt is stunning!
